Mesa/Boogie Triple Rectifier: This Thing Is A Total Monster!

This particular rectifier was outfitted with a Variac, and given a revoicing for clarity and response. It's akin to turning Lexus SUV into a Ferrari! A traditional Mesa/Boogie Rectifier is nice. They're good amps for some things, but to me they always feel sluggish and loose, with an unruly low end. I can't be the only one who thinks that!

Some of the included profiles were captured before the mods, but after the mods this particular one is on a totally different level. Virtually all of the things I didn't care for were corrected. There are only a handful of amp modders in the world that do a job like this, and if you're lucky enough to be able to drive to someone like that, you simply do the right thing and get them to work on your amps! Enjoy!

This set includes 29 different profiles of the Mesa/Boogie Triple Rectifier amp, used in conjunction with the gear listed below.

Cabs used: Engl 4x12 w/ Celestion Vintage 30s, Krank 4x12 w/ Eminence Legends, Diezel 2x12 w/ Celestion Vintage 30s, Mesa Boogie 1x12 w/ Celestion Vintage 30s

Mics used:  Beyerdynamic m160, Shure SM57, Sennheiser md421, Audix i5

Pedals used: Pepper's Pedals Dirty Tree, Maxon ST9 Pro+

All profiles below were played using a 2024 B.C. Rich Assassin with EMG HZ pickups.

*Most Chaos Tones profiles have an EQ in the post-amp orange fx slot that helps to rebalance the tone that was lost from the profiling process. You'll also find tonal descriptions in the meta data for each profile. Most rhythm profiles were captured with slightly more low end than is necessary in a mix, but it's fun, and easier to remove those frequencies than it is to add what was never captured. Enjoy!
